What We Need
1. 2 different colors of yarns
2. 3-4 mm crochet hook
3. Fiberfill for stuffing
4. 6 mm safety eyes and black yarn for mouth
5. Stitch markers.
6. Scissor and tapestry needle
Sc = Single Crochet
Inc = Increase
Dec = Decrease
Slst = Slip Stitch
Start from head of the hook
(I used Caron Simply Soft - Grey Heather)
Round 1 Magic Ring (6)
I always begin my row with stitch marker, for this pattern I will use 3 stitch markers.
Round 2 6 x Inc (12)
Round 3 4 Sc, 4 x Inc, 4 Sc (16)
Round 4 6 Sc, 4 x Inc, 6 Sc (20)
Round 5 5 Sc, put 2nd stitch marker (beside stitch marker we used for every row) on 5th Sc, 10 Sc, slst, ch 1, (put 3rd stitch marker on stitch after the slst-ch 1) turn (15)
Now we will work row to row from 2nd stitch marker to 3rd stitch marker
Round 6 Skip 1, 10 Sc, slst on the stitch we put 2nd stitch marker and then move the stitch marker to stitch after slst, ch 1, turn (10)
Round 7 Skip 1, 10 Sc, slst on the 2nd stitch marker and then move the 3rd stitch marker to stitch next to slst, ch 1, turn (10)
Round 8 Skip 1, 9 Sc, slst on 1st stitch marker and then move 2nd stitch marker to stitch after slst, ch 1, turn (9)
Round 9 Skip 1, 8 Sc, slst on 3rd stitch marker, dec (8)
Round 10 We start marking every row with 1st stitch marker again. Dec 2 times, 10 Sc (12)
Stuff the head of the hook with fibrefill and continue stuffing the body as you go.
You can sew the head of the hook to make it more like crochet hook in the space between head of the hook and the hook body.
Round 11 - Round 20 Sc around (12)
Change yarn color (mine with Caron Simply Soft - Strawberry)
Round 21 Front Loop Only 6 x (Sc, Inc) (18)
Round 22 Back Loop Only Sc around (18)
Round 23 Booth Loop Sc around (18)
Round 24 - Round 40 Sc around (18)
Insert 6 mm safety eyes between Round 27 and Round 28 with an interspace of 5 stitches.
Embroider mouth between Round 29 - Round 30.
Continue stuffing as you go.
Round 41 6 x (Sc, Dec) (12)
Round 42 6 Dec (6)
Fasten off. Cut the yarn. Weave in the yarn end using tapestry needle.
Your crochet hook is ready!
